Peter has defaulted on his mortgage and, along with his loyal gym members, enters a dodgeball tournament in an attempt to earn the money necessary to prevent his gym from being purchased by Goodman who wants to knock the place down and build a new parking lot. Globo-Gym also enter a team in the tournament in an effort to ensure that LaFleur fails. Meanwhile, Peter begins to fall for Kate Veatch (Christine Taylor), an attorney who is being used by Goodman to ensure everything goes smoothly.
