A group of archaeologists, headed by Professor Roland Crump (Kenneth Williams) and Roman specialist Professor Anna Vooshka (Elke Sommer), arrive to examine the find and preserve as much as possible. This won’t be easy as Vooshka and Crump have to share the worst caravan on the site, it is the middle of summer and the campsite, owned by a retired Army Major (Kenneth Connor), is jam-packed with holidaymakers who all have very different ideas of how to enjoy themselves.
