Tony, however, has bigger plans, which include taking over Frank’s turf and getting his girlfriend, Elvira (Michelle Pfeiffer). He does, eventually, become one of the biggest drug lords in the state, but everything comes crashing down around him when he fails to carry out the orders of a Bolivian cocaine producer, Alejandro Sosa (Paul Shenar). He also murders Manny, the person he trusted most, when he discovers that he has been seeing his younger sister, Gina (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio).
