Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John), a wholesome exchange student, and Danny Zuko (John Travolta), a rebel and a member of the T-Birds, have a summer romance at the beach but they have to leave each other and go back to school. What they don’t realise is they both now go to Rydell High School. When they clash at Rydell’s first pep rally, Sandy realises Danny isn’t the same man. Danny tries to be a better person in the hope that Sandy will fall for him again.
