Upon arrival, he is interviewed by the Warden (Patrick McGoohan) and told that no one has ever escaped from his prison and that he’ll be no exception. This means nothing to Morris, however, and he eventually attempts to make his escape, along with three fellow prisoners, Charley Butts (Larry Hankin) and brothers John (Fred Ward) and Clarence Anglin (Jack Thibeau). Over the next few months, the men dig through the walls of their cells, make papier-mâché dummies to act as decoys, and construct a raft out of raincoats.
