Django (Franco Nero) is a drifter who drags a closed coffin around with him. When he rescues a young woman, Maria (Loredana Nusciak), he finds himself in the middle of a war between Mexican revolutionaries and a band of sadistic racists led by Major Jackson (Eduardo Fajardo). Django already has a reason for wanting Jackson dead as he murdered his wife. In the face of overwhelming odds, Django has a plan: to exact revenge while pitting enemy against enemy.
